Chicory is a herbaceous plant of the Asteraceae family and includes two cultivated and six wild species. It is also called chicory or radicheta. The name of this plant with beautiful bright blue melliferous flowers, like cornflower or chamomile , means "coming out of the field". The scientific name, however, is Cichorium intybus.
